How to open the console of IBM Power4 (7038-6M2)

If you ever required to open the console of IBM pseries having machine type 7038-6M2, perform the following steps

Step-1:Connect using a null modem serial cable (RS232) on back of the server with the serial interface labeled 1 as shown below:

Step2- configure your Hyper-Terminal or putty using the following setting

            Bits per second: 9600, Data bits: 8, Parity: None, Stop bits: 1, Flow control: Hardware

Step-3: you should be able to access the console as shown below:
